Senior Bookkeeper (Multi-Entity / Real Estate Focus) Company: SM3 Marketing Location: Remote Compensation: $70,000 Reports To: Owner / Executive Team Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Overview

SM3 Marketing is a fast-growing advertising and consulting company specializing in Google Ads for real estate investors. Founded by Joe Potenza (@joepotenza4), SM3 operates alongside a portfolio of operating companies and real estate entities, including marketing, wholesaling, and rental property businesses. We’re hiring a Senior Bookkeeper to own the day-to-day financial recordkeeping across all Joe Potenza–owned businesses, including SM3 Marketing and a growing real estate portfolio. This is a hands on role for someone who takes ownership, cares deeply about accuracy, and understands how clean books power real business decisions. You will work closely with leadership to ensure financials are accurate, organized, and decision-ready.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate, up to date books across multiple entities
  • Manage day to day bookkeeping including:
  • Accounts payable & accounts receivable
  • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Journal entries and general ledger maintenance
  • Reconcile operating businesses and rental property accounts monthly
  • Maintain clean, GAAP compliant financial records
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and internal reporting
  • Track income, expenses, and cash flow across companies
  • Support payroll processing and contractor payments
  • Assist with tax preparation by maintaining clean, well documented records
  • Identify discrepancies, errors, or inefficiencies and proactively fix them
  • Work with leadership to improve financial organization and reporting systems

We are a small, fast-growing group of companies. We are building operators, not task-doers. Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong, hands on bookkeeping experience
  • Experience working with multiple businesses or entities
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks required)
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Reconciliations
  • General ledger accounting
  • Accounts payable & receivable
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of the books
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable being accountable for clean, accurate financials

Experience with real estate accounting or rental properties is a plus, but not required.
