We support complex, highly regulated programs where cloud infrastructure, software engineering, and data transport systems are critical to mission success. Position Overview Elevate Technology Solutions is seeking a Cloud Software Engineer to support cloud-based software development and system operations within a federal cloud program. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining software for cloud computing systems, with an emphasis on Azure-based environments and data transport operations. The position supports system functionality, application development, and ongoing modernization efforts across distributed cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software for cloud-based systems and applications
- Support development and enhancement of cloud-native applications in Azure environments
- Assist in maintaining and improving system software, including upgrades and enhancements
- Provide guidance and support to development teams on system functionality and operations
- Support system integration, testing, and validation activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and system performance issues
- Assist in ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based applications
- Contribute to technical documentation, system design artifacts, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support data transport and system operations
Required Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in software development or cloud engineering
- Experience developing applications in cloud environments (Azure preferred; AWS, GCP, or OCI acceptable)
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and cloud system operations
Certifications
- DoD 8570 / 8140 compliant certification (IAT Level II required or obtainable within 6 months)
- One or more cloud certifications required within 6 months of hire
