Web Designer with experience creating nonprofit websites built for high traffic and donations
We're a nonprofit organization seeking an experienced WordPress web designer to support ongoing website design and development needs. You'll work with our team to build, improve, and maintain web pages and features that help us communicate our mission, engage donors, and drive conversions. We're looking for someone who understands the unique needs of nonprofit digital communications — including donation flows, storytelling-first design, and accessibility — and can work efficiently with minimal hand-holding.
What You'll Do
Design and develop pages and site sections in WordPress Build and optimize landing pages for fundraising campaigns and appeals Ensure mobile responsiveness and cross-browser compatibility Collaborate with our internal team on layout, copy, and visual assets Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise Integrate third-party tools and donation platforms as needed Required Qualifications 3+ years of WordPress design and development experience Strong portfolio of nonprofit or mission-driven website projects Proficiency with page builders and custom theme development Experience with donation platform integration (embedded forms, cross-domain tracking, etc.) Solid understanding of UX/UI best practices, mobile-first design, and web accessibility Ability to communicate clearly, meet deadlines, and work asynchronously
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge or other Blackbaud products (e.g., BBNC, Blackbaud donation forms, TeamRaiser) Familiarity with nonprofit CRM integrations and donor management workflows Google Analytics / GA4 setup and cross-domain tracking experience Knowledge of Meta Pixel and Google Tag Manager implementation Experience with Classic Editor to Gutenberg (block editor) migrations We're a small, collaborative team and value clear communication and reliable follow-through.
