Residential Addition — Construction Drawings / CAD Drafting (from existing sketches) We're building a ~500 sq ft addition onto our existing home in Sullivan County, NY, adding two bedrooms and a connecting hallway on a pier foundation. Everything is already designed and we have a set of basic SketchUp plans. We need someone to translate those into clean, professional construction drawings we can use for permitting and contractor bidding. Scope of work: Convert our existing drawings into proper construction documents (floor plan, elevations, sections, foundation/pier layout, framing notes) Drawings should meet typical residential permit submission standards for New York State We do NOT need full architectural or engineering services — just clean, accurate drafting from our provided plans Must have familiarity with residential wood-frame construction (pier foundation, stick-frame walls, vaulted ceiling) What we'll provide: Our existing floor plan and elevations Dimensions, material specs, and notes Photos of the existing structure for context Quick turnaround on any questions What we're looking for: Experienced residential CAD drafter Portfolio showing residential construction drawings Someone who can flag obvious issues or omissions Familiarity with NY residential building codes preferred BONUS: Licensed architect or PE who can provide stamped drawings if required for permitting If you've done residential permit drawings before, this should be a pretty straightforward project.
