[Remote] Payroll Administrator

Horizon3.ai is a fast-growing, remote cybersecurity company focused on enabling organizations to proactively identify and address security vulnerabilities. They are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to assist with global payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll administration while providing excellent customer service to employees.
Responsibilities
- Assist in processing payroll on a regular schedule for our U.S. and International employees
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee payroll inquiries (paychecks, taxes, deductions, direct deposit, etc.)
- Provide high-quality customer service and timely issue resolution
- Review and audit payroll data for accuracy (hours worked, pay rates, deductions)
- Support onboarding and offboarding payroll-related tasks
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity within HRIS/payroll systems
- Assist with payroll adjustments, corrections, and off-cycle payments as needed
- Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
- Partner with HR and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies
- Support year-end processes (e.g., W-2 distribution)
Skills
- 1–3 years of customer service experience
- Basic knowledge of payroll processes and terminology (taxes, deductions, garnishments, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, Business, or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to learn software and computer programs quickly highly preferred
