Payments Associate - Operations

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Moneycorp powers global payments for corporates, institutions and high net worth individuals. The Payments Associate will support the operations for all USD Domestic Payment Rails, ensuring accurate and compliant execution of payment transactions while working closely with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Process and verify domestic and international payments (ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT, ISO 20022)
  • Ensure timely execution of high-value and low-value transactions
  • Monitor payment queues and resolve transaction failures or delays
  • Initiate funding and defunding activities with the Federal Reserve account
  • Reconcile daily transactions and ensure accurate ledger entries
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between internal records and bank statements
  • Track and report on payment volumes, exceptions, and performance metrics
  • Manage payment repairs, returns, reversals, and chargebacks
  • Liaise with compliance and 2LOD teams to resolve sanctions-related payment blocks
  • Escalate unresolved issues and follow through to resolution
  • Assist in testing and implementation of new payment systems or enhancements
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements
  • Maintain and update SOPs and training materials
  • Prepare recurring reports on payment activity and exceptions
  • Maintain accurate records of transactions, issues, and resolutions
  • Support internal audits and regulatory reviews
  • Lead the cross functional teams building out the product
  • Work with other Product Managers on the team to collaborate, mentor and share knowledge
  • Provide timely updates and reporting against metrics, outcomes and milestones
  • Manage the full lifecycle of the product from client discovery to launch
  • Apply an agile mindset and approach to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features and improvements
  • Ensure products are ready to launch, including focus on non-technical as well as technical readiness and considering go to market approach

Skills

  • Knowledge of electronic USD payment rails for corporates inclusive of Low Value, High Value, Real Time and Cross Border, both from a commercial and technical perspective
  • Understanding of linked transaction banking products such as payments, liquidity, connectivity and reporting to ensure end to end awareness while building the product
  • Knowledge of checks in the US is preferable
  • Ability to develop the processes and procedures for the specific payment rails
  • Proven experience delivering outcomes in fast moving environments
  • Experience working with financial institution and/or corporate clients
