TMX Group is a leading global exchange company that enhances capital markets. The Information Analyst role involves conducting extensive research, analyzing legal and financial records, and preparing due diligence background reviews to maintain market integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare extensive research, using databases, print sources and industry contacts
  • Analyze and summarize pertinent legal, regulatory and financial industry records
  • Prepare due diligence background reviews identifying potential problems with companies and individuals
  • Liaise with regulatory and law enforcement contacts; exchange confidential information pertaining to investigative files
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise through reading appropriate literature
  • Participate on project teams within the department
  • Assist in additional tasks including, but not limited to sending and receiving criminal record results from both domestic and international agencies, process external research requests to external vendors and monitoring of team inboxes

Skills

  • University Degree with preferred focus on Information Studies, Business/Commerce, Finance, Political Science or Economics
  • Strong research skills: Experience using commercial online databases (such as LexisNexis) and internet search engines and AI tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to understand and piece together complex information gathered from many sources, and to summarize clearly and concisely
  • Strong proficiency with Google Suites application and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, MS Word)
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to provide excellent client service and work in a team oriented environment
  • Canadian Securities Course
  • Salesforce Proficiency
  • French Language Skills
