Platform Engineer
Booz Allen Hamilton is a consulting firm that specializes in technology and engineering solutions. They are seeking a Platform Engineer to develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs while utilizing cloud capabilities. The role involves improving client environments with container software and supporting the development of critical cloud platforms.
Responsibilities
- Develop container management software to solve some of our clients’ toughest challenges
- Hone your skills using the latest cloud technologies to improve client environments with current container software
- Support your team as you inform strategy and design while ensuring standards are met throughout the containerization process
- Recommend resources that will help your client manage and securely adopt containers
- Continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms
Skills
- Experience with software development or programming in a DevOps environment
- Experience with automation tools
- Experience managing Git-based version control systems and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience architecting and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure
- TS/SCI clearance
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 Security+ or CISSP Certification within 30 days of start date
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments, including activities around the automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing such as continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)
- Experience provisioning and managing infrastructure and applications in cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML
- Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby
- Experience leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration
