Security Engineer-Jr/Mid
Our client, a leader in cybersecurity and information technology services, is seeking a Security Engineer-Jr/Mid to join their team. As a Security Engineer-Jr/Mid, you will be part of the Security Operations team supporting cybersecurity infrastructure and initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, a proactive attitude, and excellent communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization. - Maintain and build security tools, primarily Tier 3 troubleshooting and engineering for various cybersecurity products.
- Manage daily operations and administration of Linux servers in an enterprise environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate security projects, tool maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Develop and document cybersecurity designs, security requirements, and risk management plans.
- Perform security reviews, identify gaps, and implement security controls to enhance organizational security posture.
What's Needed?
- 3+ years of experience in Cybersecurity and IT, with a focus on security engineering.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems, especially CentOS/RHEL, including server administration and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as AWS or Azure is preferred but not mandatory.
- Experience with SIEM tools like Splunk and SOAR platforms such as Swimlane is desirable.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, Security+, or equivalent are preferred.
