[Remote] Provider Credentialing Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. RemoteHunter is a large provider of outpatient physical and occupational therapy services with over 1,200 locations nationwide. The Provider Credentialing Specialist will manage the credentialing and re-credentialing process for medical providers, ensuring compliance with health plans and maintaining accurate provider data.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate provider data across all credentialing systems
- Complete and track credentialing and re-credentialing applications for timely enrollment
- Maintain current licenses and required documents for assigned providers
- Collaborate with HR to support onboarding of practitioners
- Keep clinicians, field leaders, and payers informed throughout the credentialing process
- Respond to credentialing questions and updates promptly and professionally
- Ensure credentialing work complies with federal, state, and payer requirements
- Cross-train and support broader team needs as required
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned
Skills
- High School diploma or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in Medical Credentialing Process and Revenue Cycle
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with providers, leadership, staff, and external partners
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software applications
