Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative on our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. You'll work closely with patients, insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to ensure the timely processing of specialty medications and meet financial and clinical expectations. Key Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy

  • Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders, including verifying and revivifying benefits
  • Help patients with translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system
  • Communicate and collect copay amounts, obtain authorizations, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues
  • Demonstrate superb communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners
  • Work in a fast-paced environment to ensure the timely processing of specialty medications and meet financial and clinical expectations

Essential Qualifications

* One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone

  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications
  • One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude
  • Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

* Pre-existing healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology

Skills and Competencies

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Windows-based applications and computer keyboarding

Compensation, Perks, and Benefits

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll enjoy a competitive salary range of $17.00 - $25.65 per hour, depending on your experience and qualifications. In addition to your compensation, you'll have access to a range of benefits, including:
