Lam Research is a leader in semiconductor manufacturing, dedicated to shaping the future of technology. As a Process Engineer, you will develop innovative solutions and improve processes in semiconductor production, directly impacting advancements in AI, 5G, and more.

Responsibilities

  • Develop innovative process solutions that power next-generation chips
  • Define equipment hardware to meet advanced processing needs
  • Analyze test data and collaborate on design improvements
  • Ensure seamless integration of breakthrough technologies
  • Conduct process engineering research, development, and evaluation in support of Lam’s cutting-edge semiconductor equipment and systems
  • Review and enhance processing techniques and methods applied in the manufacture and fabrication of products
  • Develop and sustain new processes and process improvements to reduce production costs and increase yields
  • Compile and analyze test data to establish next steps in process development and determine appropriate limits and variables for process specifications
  • Collaborate internally to plan, collect data, analyze results, and report on customer demos for existing process applications

Skills

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Software Engineering, Modeling Engineering, Data Science, RF Engineering, Plasma Engineering, Plasma Physics, Nucleur Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or any related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship
  • This is a graduate eligible role
  • Master's degree in Material Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Software Engineering, Modeling Engineering, Data Science, RF Engineering, Plasma Engineering, Plasma Physics, Nucleur Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or any related field
  • Previous Internships is preferred
  • Familiarity with working in a laboratory and on semiconductor equipment with knowledge in surface preparation and analytical techniques
  • Understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and/or Design of Experiments (DOE)
  • Proficient in MATLAB, Python, or other similar scientific computing language
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies
  • Experience with statistical tools (JMP, Minitab, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Material synthesis and material characterization
