Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Specialist to join our team and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Business Intelligence (BI) platform and data warehouse. As a Data Specialist, you'll work closely with our business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements, develop data pipelines, and create reports and dashboards that drive business insights and decision-making. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the development of our data analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Work in a fast-paced environment to design, develop, and deliver BI solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders
* Create ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Windstream to extract, transform, and load data into our data warehouse
* Build ad-hoc reports and dashboards to support business users and provide automation using Tableau
* Design, develop, maintain, and support our Business Intelligence platform and data warehouse using various data and BI tools
* Develop impromptu reports as needed to support business users and provide automation using Tableau
* Foster collaborative relationships and work with key business stakeholders and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
* Communicate technical and business themes in a 360-degree approach, as required, using written, verbal, and presentation materials
* Create, maintain, and recommend upgrades to applications in the areas of standards, procedures, compliance, and quality assurance practices; participate in design and code walkthroughs
* Take ownership and deliver process improvements
* Stay up-to-date on relevant technologies and trends
* Focus on work that has the highest impact on the business
What You'll Bring
* 2+ years of experience in creating data pipelines using Python/Windstream
* Experience with designing DataMart, Data Warehouse, and data set objects within social data sets (MySQL, SQL Server, Vertica)
* Strong skills in SQL and query writing
* Strong critical thinking, verbal, and written communication skills
* Excellent analytical, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure/follow through on tight deadlines
* Strong experience with creating dashboards and reports for C-level leaders
