Requirements
- Proven experience in researching, writing, and securing grants for nonprofits (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
- Demonstrated track record of successful grant awards, particularly from foundations, corporations, or government agencies.
- Excellent written communication and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling, persuasive proposals.
- Strong research and analytical skills to identify funding opportunities and align them with organizational needs.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines with attention to detail.
- Proficiency with standard office software (Word, Excel, Google Workspace) and familiarity with grant databases (e.g., Foundation Directory Online, Grants.gov).
- Commitment to the mission of providing healthcare to underserved communities.
Preferred:
- Experience writing grants in the healthcare, dental, or social services sectors.
- Familiarity with outcome measurement and program evaluation, translating data into strong narrative.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and foundation grant processes, compliance, and reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field (Master’s degree a plus, but not required if experience is strong).
- Membership in professional networks such as the Grant Professionals Association (GPA) or Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).
