Job Summary
As an Experienced Engineering Manager at blithequark, you'll be responsible for leading a team of engineers while making key decisions that impact our cross-functional partners. Your role will remain technically hands-on, involving close work with code, technical details, and data. You'll contribute to architectural planning, code reviews, and risk assessments, and represent your team and technology in cross-functional meetings.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead a team of engineers and make key decisions that impact our cross-functional partners
- Contribute to architectural planning, code reviews, and risk assessments
- Discuss bugs and technical challenges in-depth and represent your team and technology in cross-functional meetings
- Collaborate with various teams across software, services, and AI/ML, while also engaging with external customers
- Help define requirements and objectives for cross-functional software projects
- Create a multi-year roadmap and lead the design and execution phases of software development
- Oversee the work of some of the brightest engineers in the industry
Minimum Qualifications
* Strong understanding of operating systems fundamentals and mobile device support constraints
- Proven ability to drive complex, cross-functional projects, managing partnerships while staying hands-on technically
- Clear decision-making based on data rather than intuition
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
- Enthusiasm for working in a diverse, global team, fostering collaboration, and supporting your engineers
Preferred Qualifications
* 2+ years of engineering management experience
- Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain top engineering talent
- Experience with API development and working with API consumers
